TLS, Gameplay was in the right direction, but it feels so unpolished and... broken... and that's just one of the things wrong with this game.
It gives you many opportunities to set things up strategy wise, but it ALWAYS messes it up by interrupting the player with some useless dialogue and auto-setting your strategy approach, everything that should be up to the player, and you keep getting interrupted every 5 minutes by a monologue of objectives before each encounter, and it turns out you only have to kill everything in sight.
Even the color choices were unpolished, you often get the cloth to saturate too much depending on the color you pick.
On top of it all, the relationship betwen Zael and Calista is so damn plastic and the whole game swirls arond it...
And on a more personal note... WHY THE HELL can't I play with Syrenne for Half of the damn fucking game??
Xenoblade stays on the other opposite.
Everything the last story has about unpolished and unfinished, Xenoblade, does it in a way that always surprises. Polishing every aspect of this game was its main priority.
There's but one thing that feels out of place in the whole game, Riki's hair.
