Yes, but it was changed to "newhalf" from "woman" during the game's original production. This was, as #1088819 suggested, in prep for Capcom Japan marketing the game to America. However, Capcom USA was STILL afraid of lawsuits (I'd say they'd have MORE problems if her "new" bio was used back then) so they created Billy and Sid to further cover their asses. I'd say Japan made a poor judgement call, and USA made a better one, though still ultimately a stupid history.

Again, you're wrong.

Billy and Sid were not done by Capcom. At all. That was all Nintendos doing due to Nintendo of Americas heavy censorship in the earlier days. Hence why those two chumps show up only on the SNES version of the game and Roxy and Poison stayed in the arcade version. The Sega CD version of FF as well had Roxy and Poison, and every other version of the game.

Get your facts straight.
