something i never understood there are 21 great swords right? So why all others katanas only when this one is big .This shows there has to be some kind of variation between them so why arent a couple others different kinds of swords

this sword is the best sword because it has the rarest material and its very sharp only swordmasters can handle it and its the only sword that osnt a katana because its the king of the kingswords

well what i meant to say is why did he only have a variance in size on only this 1 sword. Are other ones different sizes because so far each one besides this one is the same size

You guys are all WRONG! Because first of all Hawkeyes' sword is above the 21 great swords his is one of the "Saijo O Wazamono" the TWELVE SUPREME grade swords which is one of only two ever revealed in the series and the other one Shodai Kitetsu only mentioned when Zoro first recieved Sandai Kitetsu at Loguetown. Zoro currently uses a regular "grade" sword the Sandai Kitetsu and two O Wazomono which are two of the 21 great grades.

Also they're swords so they can come in any size cause swords aren't necessarily limited to katanas. You don't know that this is the only large sword because there's only been like 10 named grade swords out of all the graded, 50 skillfull grade, 21 great grade, and 12 supreme grades.
