Oh yeah. Touko was groomed to be the head and was the family prodigy. She was actually supposed to be the one who manifested the fifth magic. But Aoko did instead. As is often the rule in the TM universe. Loads of strict rules but mains that do whatever they wish.

In any case, Touko murdered their grandfather who was the head over it. Aoko has no interest in any of it really. But because of how magi society runs, because Aoko manifested one of the five true magics, she automatically became head.
