Tamamo is 500+ years old; she's likely been through battle after battle her whole life. Not only that, but she apparently gave Granberia a difficult fight in the past due to her earth defenses. And she's one of the few who can heal themselves. She won't die so easily, my friend. Though, after having just been defeated by Luka a short while ago, she's not really in any condition to fight, I suppose.
