Speak for yourself. Dante is a freaking icon and therefore should not be changed at all. There was nothing wrong with him at all and if you don't like anime style games such as Devil May Cry then go play some Western hack and slash game. Prototype,Bloodrayne and Darksiders are just some of the first ones that come to mind.

The storyline bothered me just as much since DMC was never about social commentary or government nonsense. Not to mention how badly mangled were Vergil,Dante,Eva and Sparda.

Even Marvel with their different universes are not this incompetent.
