When you slow down the gif frame by frame, you'd notice that in each frame, the skirt is perfectly positioned so that you cannot look beneath it between her legs.

I will admit, I was a huge fan of Sailor moon and I actually prefer the clean edited American version. To me, it was better at the time that it was being aired on tv and it made coming home from school fun! I had something to look forward to. It's a shame, though, that they won't release the clean edited versions on dvd. This was something I would have loved to have shown my baby niece.

The Nelvana version WAS released on DVD, a long time ago. There where some 26 volumes with only 4 episodes per disk. Good luck finding them now though. Nelvana never made season 5 however.

@Jedi: You know, you're right. I remember seeing at least ONE of the dvds on amazon sometime ago. With this being the 20 year anniversary of the show, they need to think about re-releasing thing. Japan already has a new 20 Anniversary boxset coming out if not this month, then next!

I'm afraid that this anime, even in the original version, had almost nothing to censor. There was only 1 scene in the whole series where you can see a panty shot. Don't remember wich episode was, but the scene happens when sailor mars attacks an enemy and she jumps towards the screen, then for a second she spreads her legs and you see it.
When I was a teen, I fapped so hard in that part, that's why I remember it.
