One way to view this picture in relation to the source material (the Btooom! manga) is that it a depiction of the ruthless interpersonal competition for survival that characterizes the series. But if such was the artist's intention, then perhaps he/she would have made a very graphic fanart of plot-critical battle rather than the rape of Himiko by an anonymous male individual. Because of this, I find this image to be rather poor homage to Btoom! But that's just me - please don't flame me. Thank you.
