Here's a thought: Rydia lived in the Feymarch for nineteen years. In the original game, she went from let's say eight to twenty in a matter of days in the Feymarch. Shouldn't she be an old hag by then?

^ I always thought it was a different plane of existence, she lived there for years in real time, whereas it was merely days in Cecil's world, but to Rydia a long time has passed, as she's all grown up when she reunites with him. My 2 cents.

I don't think that Rydia stayed in the Feymarch after the events of the original game. She went back to visit every once in a while, but I'm pretty sure the place she actually lived at was the rebuilt village of Mist.
