@#1243419 Great. As an addition to doctors, fbi agents and physicists we now also have mythology students fapping to loli...

But seriously: I think the vampire myth actually came from the germanian (not german) stories about revenants which then moved over the balkan to transylvania. And from there on we pretty much know the rest...

Also I think that vampires would just get some serious sunburn as they have no pigmentation similar to albinos and that's pretty much it. They don't burn, they don't fall apart and they definitely don't sparkle!
Our opinions may vary.

Cum makes loli vampires sunlight-resistant for a few hours.

Vampires could also have been based on people infected with rabies. Both have violent urges to bite, both have troubled extra-sensible senses, specially smell (garlic smells a lot to normal noses, so what about x10000 sensitive noses ?) and light (hence can see at night, and are painfully blinded by sunlight).

#1254749 guess what was a rare but severe sickness back then in the germanian tribes.

But Shinobu/Kiss-shot lost all her power, she's not a complete vampire anymore, she lost almost all her powers and weaknesses, this is explained in Kizumonogatari.

The original mythos of vampires were a form of boogeyman stories used to scare children into behaving. They came from before any Germanian or any of the main cultures. It is said they predate even the supposed merged culture that historians believe was made from Aztec, Mayan and Egyptian.

Dracula was inspired by the real life Vladimir Dracula, who suffered the rabies mentioned by the above anon.

Opinions may vary but the true mythology of the vampires has them burst into flames and turn to ash. Its part of their curse, to always walk the night damned to never see the light of day again.

In certain mythos, ancient vampire are realted to sexual "liquids" and not blood; but even Polidori e Stoker made ancient vampires "immune" from sunlight: they will just loose their powers. On the other hand, "new" vampires suffer the sunlight.

For what little it matters, Bram Stoker's version of a vampire in Dracula was that they could go out in the sun, but that they lost their special vampire abilities for as long as they stayed there. So no bat/mist form or hypnosis or things like that. Going without feeding was what weakened them, next to being actively fended off with garlic or holy symbols.

Shinobu isn't even a full vampire...
