I'm always anxious around bonfires because the INSTANT you turn human you open yourself up to invasions. Kind of irritating when all your trying to do is kindle the damn thing. Better have some spare humanity lying around if you happen to get murdered.

Thankfully rats drop humanity and at least one Bonfire is close to some easily killable packs of them. That makes getting humanity a bit easier.

That is, of course, if you're cool with grinding.
