Don't you think that sixth picture should be third theoretically, since pictures three-five are hatless evil? In Ran case removed hat means radical change in attitude and power-level, at least according to lot of doujins. A lot like Unohana Retsu actually, only the tassel-hat instead of a braid.
Also, I do believe that there are references to other characters in second row. Fifth picture is outright portrait of Hakumen no Mono, world-eating shark-fox from the Ushio to Tora series.

Yeah but the first 4 have regular facial structure while 5 has fox face and so does 6.

Not really. 3-4 face the viewer and so [would] obscure the elongated facial structure, but the black tip is there already, while hat is not. 4th case holds more resemblance to the monster fox than 6th, somewhat mitigated by affronté. "Hat goes off" theory is really attractive.

Not that it matters; just a simple observation. Most likely artist intended to work "hat goes off" joke, but switched for "huffy indignation as the ultimate rage" one.
