How is this father and son?
In Fire Emblem 13, a child always (with the exception of Female Morgan) inherits their father's hair color.
The reason I see for these three being in the same image is that Cherche works for Virion, and Gerome is her son.
There is no real (if any) evidence that Gerome is Virion's son in this image.

Indeed, Gerome is pretty much pink haired Avatar's son in this pic. But hey, let Virion be with them, even if he is not part of that family.

Default character art depicts all children with their mother's hair color. Since in many cases this would be impossible in-game, the father's hair color does not necessarily matter for art purposes.
