This is the single greatest anime ever made, the synopsis:
Shiba Inuko-san is a 14-year-old-shiba inu who has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of her ability, she is able to meet a female death god (AKA Shibagami) named Chako. To save her family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Chako transfers her Shibagami powers to Shiba Inuko-san. As Chako takes on a dog shell, together they solve mysteries involving spirits and Hollows until from the spirit world come two other Shibagami, who explain that it is illegal to transfer Shibagami powers to dogs and that Chako exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. After they sentence her death for breaking the law, Shiba Inuko-san snaps and swears to everyone she will retrieve Chako by breaking into the human world.
