Being that you always can name the protagonists in the games, it really doesn't matter what their "official" names are when you play the game as you are not forced to use them.

Also keep in mind that these names are the names for the original Japanese version. For the versions outside of Japan, they names can still end up being Xavier and Yvonne.

I remember seeing "Xavier" somewhere in the pool of new information this week. So that's the default English name. I don't have any details on the female name, although it seems highly likely it will start with a "Y."

...even though that reverses the chromosome idea.
