It's interesting to note that there have been some people who suggest that a Cubone is an orphaned Khangaskahn. Because Missingno evolves into Khangaskahn, people have suggested that the slot of data that turns up as Missingno was originally intended to be for a sort of pre-evolution. Depending on how it was evolved, it would either evolve into a Khangaskahn or Cubone, but that this concept was scrapped due to the hardware limitations of the original Gameboy.

Even in death it still retains it's maternal instincts to the dead offspring that resides in it's pouch and will attack anything that would cause it harm, trainers are advised to take extra pre-cautions when encountering Marokhan
