That's kinda the definition.

I'm reading the Dark Elf trilogy right now. It's good....when the characters aren't obsessing over Drizzt. Also, some parts of it read like they were copy-pasted from the Monster Manual.

So far, it's a good political fantasy. It would be better without Drizzt.
