i remember doing this fight alone my first time around. it took me at least 100 time to get Ornstein down and another 100 to get both of them. think i was building a weird dex/str build and was most likely underleveled from rushing everything.

I remember doing this fight, too. I soloed because of various reasons, but I beat it on my first try. It's not that hard. Just read their attacks and know when to attack. Wait for one to do an attack with huge recovery time and fuck up the other one.

I pulled it off on my first try. Granted, I'd knew my strategy and their moves, had a BK Halberd +3 and had Solaire tank Ornstein while I punched out Smough. It's not so hard if you know that for example, Ornstein can't attack through broken pillars even in his super form meaning you can block his attacks and heal very easily. Stand inside his skirts, roll forward on his stab and roll backwards on his butt stomp. Simple. But rewarding nonetheless.
