Nah, really speaking, it was pretty dynamic, in the time it was done (2005), it was really awesome.
Yeah, Blizzard may be one of the most badass companies when it comes to portray epic scenes on cgi, but you can't deny the fact that the battle between Sephiroth and Cloud was badass.
Square imho, did a good job.

It was good, I never said it wasn't.. but I just think its ok when you compare it to "best animated fight in the EXISTENCE of man."

I certainly don't share that opinion, but it was ok. definitely wasn't bad.
