I love how when Articuno unfolds its wings, both Red and hios Rapidash are transfixed by its beauty.

It would take a single Ice Beam from Articuno to kill Rapidash. And altho I don't know their stat speeds, Articuno is a Legendary Bird, I would not be surprised if Articuno gets the first hit.

Sigh people and their over exaggerating the strength of run of the mill stock legendries compared to properly raised and trained pokemon.
And considering that it's train it the one and only legendary Red (not some knock off brand condiment)... Yeah it's not a stretch to say his rapidash would out match if not out preform Articuno, and shrug those ice beams off like Tuesday.
And don't bring up some mythical situation in which you found a perfect IV Articuno (most likely hacked anyways) too prove a point. This is the tv show where stats don't mean crap compared to actual hardword and training.

TV wise anything can happen both ways. But seeing how its Red which is a game/manga character not Ash/Satoshi I was comparing them based on their game stats.
Rapidash max stats are 500
Articuno max stats are 580
Rapidash has a small Sp.Def of 80 while Articuno has a Sp.Def of 125 and its Sp.Atk is 95 exceeding Rapidash defense. It would take no more than 2 hits at most to kill Rapidash as Articuno.
