Well Lazarus089, it seems that the soldier used himself as a meat shield to protect the pyro.
Now if you have seen the meet the pyro video, you know that pyro sees everyone else as flying babies with adult heads, so in his eyes someone just killed a little baby soldier with 5 arrows in the back.

Anon, there's a slight flaw with your reasoning.
Namely, the Pyro is a heartless, cruel, cold (despite all of the fire) monstrous abomination.
In that same video where he saw everybody as babies, he gave a "lolly" to somebody. Which was actually an axe to the face.
