We don't hate Lightning because she's a girl. We (or at least I) hate her because 1. she's a bitch, and 2. SE has been constantly shoving her down our throats since before FF13 came out, and we are all sick of her.

When will people get it through their thick skulls? SquareEnix doesn't give a shit about what the rest of the world thinks. Their consumers in Japan-their primary target audience- loves Lightning. In the same way they loved Cloud. Which is why she's in alot of games/merchandise. I'm sick of hearing how much people think the new FFs are shit and the old ones are the best. How's about you PLAY THE OLD ONES and shut your fuckin' gob.

Christ, even on here there's anti Lightning stupidity. I'd like to be able to go to 1 site without hearing non-sense of which character's better/worse. Lightning's a great character, it's just apparently no one sat through XIII long enough to saw how she developed. And by the way Cloud got shoved down our throats way more than Lightning. with 4 games, a movie and an anime.

I dislike the FFXIII series because it's been turning Final Fantasy into something it's not, an Action-RPG. The fact that it got a sequel is only because of a retarded Diabolus Ex Machina. Plus, Lightning is an extremely boring protagonist; she's always a bitch, extremely cold and barely warms up through the course of the story. The fact that they're trying to turn her into the main characters of the series is just annoying.

Well, sorry I got news for you, if you dislike action-RPGs, you're not gonna like XV. And Lightning being boring is honestly debatable. She warms up plenty to the others in the course of the story, she's even laughing with everyone just before the second Barthandelus fight, and during the ending. And she's only the most promoted right now because she has another game coming out (Then Noctis will be). You can have your opinion, nor do you need to like her (I myself have other FFs/characters I don't like). But I honestly feel like all this complaining is getting everyone sour over nothing.

I feel that instead of focusing on one person, it should be more about the story, i dnt really like badass Main Characters as much as i used to; Cloud n Lightning become popular like that we see them as fan favorites, because how they're both show-offs saving everybody etc..i think it might be the same for Noctis in FFXV.. Why cant they make like simple MC to be natural then later to become a awesome main character.
