Kishimoto is really going the wrong way with Obito if Naruto can change him, he managed to change Nagato because Nagato wasn't truly evil and was only trying to make peace by murdering everyone because that is the only way to achieve peace. Obito on the other hand has had years of betrayal and seeing all of his loved ones die for his hatred to be sewn in to his psyche so words shouldn't just change who he is, he shouldn't change at all and Naruto should have to end his life.
