Did a quick search and the one sniffing is a representation of the artist (@I_MI_ZU on Twitter), and the other is somebody she knows (@matori_yoshika).
It's probably just online teasing, but it's still hot lol. Matori-san responded with a tweet: うわああああいいやいや待ってください威未図さんの方が良い匂いでしたよ！！！！！？！？（錯乱）
(Uwaah... hold on. Imizu-san smelled way better than me!!!!!?!? (confusion))
To which Imizu-san responded with some text-based face, a triumphant laugh, and the words ｸﾝｶｸﾝｶ (likely meaning "influence, influence"). Again, making it even hotter.
Anyway, all that said, got rid of the character_request tag.
