I kind of feel bad for Nui, it's kind of like her sole reason for existing is to cause and feel pain. Who knows, maybe Ryuko will sympathize with her, but that might kill a lot of the Nui hater club.

So funny, reading all this in hindsight. Nui doesn't stop being absolutely batshit, doesn't develop as a character, and really doesn't serve a purpose other than being both cute and terrifying. But I like that. She's simple, evil, crazy, and has an entirely contradicting appearance.
