Find it odd when an artist combines a guillotine and pillory as they are not technically not compatible. Guillotines only have spot to hold neck only as hands are usually restrained behind the back of prisoner.

They ARE compatible if the Blade of the Guillotine is only broad enough to cut through the Neck of the Prisoner and not the Hands.
Or simply: You can build the restraining Board broad enough for the Hands to get locked in at the Sides, or build to small such Boards on the Side of the Guillotine in general.
But i can't imagine why one should do that, aside from making the obvious Humiliation-Effect of the Prisoner more apparent.
