Correction: Back when she was a 6ft-3in(without the armor) hardcore badass that could wipe out an entire species, navigate hostile worlds and annihilate massive opponents all by Herself. A women so awesome that people argued constantly who was better: Master chief or Samus.

Before, Samus was hot in a "Ripley from Aliens" sort of way, it didn't take away from her character and it was used as a reward for putting in effort to complete these Awesome games with fast times or item collects, Samus was still the silent ass-kicking wonder woman 98% of the time... Now it seems like all they're doing is shoving the zero suit in our faces and trying to really sex Samus up with that stupid Marilyn mole and rocket-powered stripper heels in the new Smash. I miss Retro Studios....

She's always been a sex symbol for Nintendo, but she's always had a great backstory & the Metroid games were all great.

I still like all versions of the Samus character-design ever conceived (and face it, she looks different in almost every Metroid game there is).

Aside from that, if we've all managed to see the Best Endings of almost every Metroid game, we've had the Zero Suit "shoved in our faces" millions of times already...before even Super Smash Bros. Brawl came out.
