Why there's no _(pokemon) suffix, I couldn't say.

Actually I've been wondering why _(pokemon) is on almost every pokemon character even when there's no non-pokemon character with the same name.

Full names seem to get a pass from the pokemon suffix. It's also like that for ookido_green. Probably just staying consistent for any more common names that show up.
