There is a loophole to Evil Villian Rule #97. The hero could be beyond the realm of life and death and have the ability to bring back souls that he killed. So he could kill his friends if he knew they were going to come back. Therefore, the loophole is established.

Anon2, there is the possibility they would come back mind controlled, and I doubt the hero/heroine would have it in them to kill their friends, revival powers or no.
