Context makes a world of difference. Vegeta is trying to keep Beerus entertained so that he won't destroy the Earth. It seriously hurts his pride to act silly like this, but he does it because he must.

Is it just me who seriously feels Toriyama is trying to deteriorate his own series with these movies? Alongside gay ass super Kaioken, Vegeta's character was treated the worst in this movie.
