I'm happy to see Mewtwo is coming back. (Let's hope that's not the only DLC character.) It's a shame that Spring seems so far away now... But Mega Gardevoir is the serperior psychic Pokémon.

No other psychic Pokemon is more superior or deserving of this. No other legendary pokemon has as much personality and backstory as Mewtwo thanks to the games and movies.
Gardevoir would merely be a joke/fanservice character like Jigglypuff and Wii Fit Trainer.

If it were a simple move conversion it'd be about as much work as Dr. Mario since he's basically Melee Mario.
So I think it's safe to say they're giving him some changes for sure.
His Final Smash is probably going to be Mega Mewtwo Y. Unless they go for something completely out of left field, I can't imagine it being anything else.
