If they are gonna drink the whole soup, why leave in the chopsticks n spoon makes more sense not to.

It's part of etiquette. You're either supposed to put used chopsticks on a chopstick rest or on your bowl and the spoon is supposed to remain in the bowl since it would make an unnecessary mess on the open table. Anyway, it would be fairly easy to hold them in place with your thumbs, like the animation shows.

I love how her eye spazzes out there for a few frames. This makes me feel bad for not being able to watch this without subs because I'm going to miss out on a lot of small details like that.
