Regardless of how she's dressed Yoko is a badass in her own right. The show doesn't really let her live up to it aside from one episode but the movie really lets her shine and makes up for never really letting her take the reigns in the show. Then again Gurren Lagann was about being a manly man so it focused mostly on Simon and his rise to the top.

KhightMare, if you want to know how what Yoko is she's a strong female who never really gets to have the limelight to herself aside from an episode after timeskip and a brawl in the first movie but those moments more than make up for it. Even though that brawl has some fanservice in it you'll be too distracted by Yoko being kickass to care about it.

I mean, the girl takes out giant robots with a sniper rifle several times in the show! She's much more than fanservice! Just watch it if you haven't yet! It'll make your life complete!
