Well...this is...was this from Metroid Prime 3? I had totally forgotten something like this actually happened. Might have to run through it again soon.

Yeah this happens in MP 3, just before Samus destroys the first Leviathan.

I loved this game. Made you really feel like Samus was turning into some super-powered monster.

Another cool thing in MP3 is that you can see the reflection of her face in the visor.
After each boss she gets blue veins across her face and around the end one of her eyes turns white. Cool shit! :-D

True fans of Metroid and ignorant non-fans of Metroid wouldn't selfishly demand video game creators to create something that they themselves haven't had any drive to do.

Looks like somebody needs to be educated.

1. "selfishly demand" Everything in the industry is based on selfishness. Companies selfishly create products so they can selfishly make money and the consumer selfishly buys the products that they selfishly want.

Corporations have to listen to paying customers or else lose their money but customers don't have to care one bit about what corporations want, because corporations only want to make money.

2. The reason it took so long for a new "Metroid" game to come out is because Other M had terrible sales, because the Metroid audience didn't like it, and for good reason. Yes, in order to be successful you actually have to do what your customers selfishly want.

Metroid fans don't want Federation Force and people who like competitive online shooters already have superior products in Call of Duty, Halo, Splatoon, and everything else under the sun.

3. This is not done because developers have the "drive" or "artistic vision". This is done because corporations use focus groups(13-25 year old males) to find out what they like the most.

4. Nintendo is doing the same thing Capcom did with Resident Evil and EA did with Dead Space. They took a franchise that was primarily about exploring an environment on your own and are adding cooperative online elements.

Other M failed as a single player game and now Federation Force is going to fail as a multiplayer game, marking the end for Metroid. True Metroids are trying to stop this from happening, because they understand how the industry works and have already seen many franchises die off in this same fashion.

So congratulations, Nintendo fans, you're getting a very poor man's Halo that no one will buy and extra points for killing off a long-running franchise.
