Art is from ArtsyOmni. His 'Smashified' stuff is awesome, but I thought this site doesn't allow art from non-Japanese artists?

It was changed years ago, non-Japanese artists can be posted on here as long as they are of high quality.

However, it seems like a lot of the mods ignore that, as I've seen plenty of great art posted here from non-Japanese artists yet they still got taken down due to not being Japanese

Artwork generally must be high-quality, based on a Japanese copyright, and drawn in an art style with more Japanese influence than Western to receive an exception. If you've seen good artwork by non-Japanese artists deleted, it was either off-topic or drawn in a very western style.
