that's silly, if the regualar one can change its/her color and thus exist in any color (to them it's probably something like when human dye their hair - when they get bored with the color, they simply change it), so, naming the subspecies by colors is confusing to say the least... How do you tell apart a regular one that's red/green/pink/black/... etc.

"yellow" one's missing, that one's electric... and the purple ones (dark slime) is missing as well (a succubus-like slime, feeding on energy)... There could as well be a "blood slime" (a vampire-like slime, feeding on blood) etc. etc. - the possibilities are endless.
