It's Ironic that she's married to and has a kid with a guy who almost killed her several times, and who once tersely told her that she had no reasonable reason to love him after all he did and what he put her through. He even accused her of being in a fantasy world when it came to him. Then, moments later, he once again, nearly cut her down. No wonder the Japanese fandom was outraged.
