Fact: Only female mosquitos require blood for 2 reasons:
1) To make themselves more attractive to mates
2) For breeding
3) Baby mosquitos are born in water
4) Male mosquitos do not require blood they typically go for pollen

If she's not making children, she doesn't need blood.
