Just generic boring energy beams and random fast punches/kicks. DBZ is the most overrated anime of all time.

The relatively lackluster animation of Super is not an accurate representation of the whole of Dragon Ball.

Also, can it really be considered overrated when it was a major influence for nearly all of modern shounen anime?

On top of that, most people outside of tards and fanboys generally agree that DBZ as a written work really isn't even that great/straight up bad. It's just good simple minded fun(which is perfectly okay). Kinda like some people would describe Ultimate Warrior in wrestling. Bad, but bad in a way that's entertaining as hell.

Most of the time, Dragon ball super's animation is drawn better than at least the mid episodes of DBZ. It's just people bitching and zooming in on stuff to make it seem like ALL the art is badly drawn and misleading people to the fact.

The Goku and Beerus fight was baddon't get me wrong but the rest of the episodes have been really good in terms of art and animation. Even, the latest one piece episodes have a better flow than the previous 60 or so episodes of dressrosa. -sigh- But people let it get to their heads and ignore all the rest of the animation to complain about background shots or episode 5. Even when you try to say at people are being overly complainy, you get called a toei fan tard who defends bad animation, which is not the case.
