Yeah Makoto may have a lot of fetishes but even she has standards and probably didn't know what he was like till after they slept (might have caught him cheating on her). Wouldn't you be pissed at yourself for "being so stupid" and the other person for not seeing the red flags?
I would, even more so if my ex kept bringing it up.

@Anon6
That's kind of another problem I've got with the pairing. It just seems forced. There's no real development for it. He's introduced in the third game with little backstory to explain him, immediately characterized as a womanizer, and then immediately shown as being overtly protective of Noel. Even he mutters that it's abrupt and out of character for him; what little of his character we've been shown at that point. It just comes across as abrupt, sudden, and forced.
That's my take on it anyway.

why does it seem like there's a lot of repressed bitterness on every kagura picture? did a "womanizer" jock dude take your girlfriend in high school? you guys realize this artist is female right? you can stop white knighting fictional characters any day now.

Really? Johnny and Kagura aren't all that different. Both players, but care deeply for women, and both of them are awesome badasses that can handle pretty much anyone in combat.
I know what this is, people are angry that their waifu is being paired with somebody else. Get over it people, there's no reason to pointlessly hate an awesome character.
