The female heroine of biohazard/resident evil 2 was first designated as Elza Walker but someone pointed out there were no seemingly connection to part 1 hence Elza Walker became Claire Redfield, Chris's little sister searching for big bro.

nah, the reality is that the director of the project of re 1.5 had to go to another company -cough-square-cough- because they had better resources -cough-moneywhore-cough- and that's it, they scratched it and had to redone the thing from zero

Elza had blonde hair I think. This is Elza/Claire.
Still alot of things in prototype would have been great, like body armor.
