Presence of a Y chromosome does not a male make. Genetically, true, they might be a male, but stop using the Y chromosome as a defense for the argument. There are times when that Y chromosome means absolutely nothing in the development of sexual characteristics, one specific example: genetic males born with CAIS. A person born with CAIS almost always develops a heterosexual female gender identity because they are, for all intents and purposes, female; physically indistinguishable from an XX genetic female. What bigots are primarily referring to when they get into arguments is that a penis = he and no penis = she, end of story, period. It would be next to impossible to use the XY chromosome argument to challenge a CAIS female because you literally cannot tell from the outside. Stop using the XY chromosome as a crutch for bigotry and get over the fact that some people simply do not identify with their chromosomes.

People equating gender identity with race act like race isn't a made-up thing.
Here's a fun thought experiment for those cocksure absolutists: is Louis CK "white?" He's fully hispanic. Is Jordan Peele, with one caucasian parent?
If you have to resort to looking, maybe you could treat people like women if they look and act like women, and mind your own goddamn business otherwise.

The word “gender” was coined by a nonce posing as a university professor by the name of John Money. His “research” should be available somewhere online for all to read. Look it up and you’ll see what you’re buying into.
