You don't really get to be a smartass from the kid being a kid when you're on the internet and just basically said "I haven't seen this, must not exist" for something you literally just need to do a couple quests with her to unlock it. Without the jackass response, it makes you someone who hasn't played much and doesn't like looking up info. With the jackass response, it makes you a kid, too, but also a slow idiot.

I've already put 50 hours into Fallout 4 and I learned about Curie from this very picture (and subsequently checking the Fallout Wiki).

It's okay to not be a ritalin-snorting jobless junkie and miss some sidequests in a game as colossal as Fallout 4. :)
