I want it in WebM because then it won't have to be 245x200. The GIF format compresses images to smaller sizes depending on how many colors are being used, so that it looks better. It has to make its own palette of like 256 (I think?) colors per frame, which it then references to when rearranging the image.

I don't know much about the technical aspects of WebM, but I know that it is much, much better at this. At the very least, it wouldn't be a tiny ass image like it is right now.

So yeah, I suggest you scale it back with your dickish tone. Especially when you don't know the situation. It only makes you look like an ass/idiot when all is said and done.

WebM is the rigid video standard for HTML5. It consists of Google VP8 or VP9 video (and optionally, Vorbis or Opus audio) in a specialized Matroska container.

So basically, it's just a video, like any YouTube or H.264 video.

Since it uses a ~5 year old video format, it's much more efficient than GIF, which was created about 30 years ago.

The nice thing about WebM is that since it's <i>part of the HTML standard</i>, all current browsers are supposed to support it and treat it very similarly, so you don't have to rely on a plugin or player to be able to view it.
