I never really approved of the Master Ball personally... I know it's a handy thing to have in the games but... It kinda... backs up what Team Plasma would say about forcing Pokemon into Slavery. Theyre allowed to put up a fight if they want to with the other Poke balls but the Master Ball flat out Denys them that choice of Resistance or Acceptance.
Capturing Mewtwo with it would just Piss him off more I think...

Anon 1 I agree with you there, I actually make a point of only using the normal Poke ball whenever I play, I do carry Master Balls for Shiny Legendary battles that I have trouble with catching them but as long as you have a Spore/Super Fang Smeargle I usually have no trouble nabbing them with Poke balls. My Shiny Mewtwo only fought for 6 Poke balls til I had it.

I can't imagine Mewtwo or other powerful legendary pokmon liking their trainers at all if they took the cheap way out and used a masterball instead of proving themselves worthy.
Mewtwo is especially difficult due to it's extreme hatred of humans, I could imagine it leaving or even flat out killing it's trainer if it thought them so weak.

Some Pokemon are literally about as intellegent as normal animals in our world. Others Exceed our intelegence by leaps and bounds and are clearly capable of understanding what we're doing when we try to capture them. While there are many moral qualms to have about the entire concept of capturing Pokemon there are advantages to both parties. The Trainer is allowed to traverse the world a lot more freely and the Pokemon is allowed to See the world and Grow stronger and reach it's full potential something that doesn't really happen in the wild. Imagine all the wild Bagon who never Evolve without being captured and thus never attaining that flight they've always dreamed of. It is a Symbiotic Relationship between Pokemon and Trainer even if sometimes the first meeting turns out to be a little Violent also keep in mind that when looking for Wild Pokemon Sometimes they attack first They can also Flee if they are not interested in battling at all
As for the Poke Ball Arguement I remember hearing somewhere that Poke balls will not work until the Pokemon completely Accepts the Capture if it doesn't want to even a little bit then they won't snap shut and it also Requires a form of Consent on the pokemons side because as we all know... While we can capture Pokemon that are temporarily asleep.. We can't catch ones that have Fainted The Pokemons Choice is an important factor The Master Ball eliminates that and therefore should be illegal.

20 Years Ago Today I started my Journey into Pokemon, It changed My life. Can't we put the petty arguements aside and be grateful for the times we spend with these fascinating creatures of our imaginations? I don't believe for a second that they could ever come to resent us. It is only our own self-loathing that fuels these kinds of sentiments within us. Even Mewtwo learned to Forgive Humans after traveling with us. Remember this.
