The artist has a thing for this one girl. She's in several of his other works. There's a stark contrast between her face, that of a young, confident woman ready to take on the world ... and her taking off her shirt, a young woman who's giving guys what they want since they only think of her as a sex object. The leering men with black, soulless eyes in the back just exacerbates this. See her for what she can be other than a sex object.

But, that won't happen for a long time to come. In Sociology we learn that men are viewed for their earning prowess while women are viewed for their sexual prowess. Until they invent a pill that can shut off a human's sexual desire, so we see everyone as just "people", then women will always be seen as sexual objects. However, as part of maturing as a man, you have to learn to get past that, and see them as equals and capable people who can do great things. Unfortunately, since businesses make tons of money parading naked girls around in front of us, it just perpetuates their role as sex objects, since they get paid to do so, and guys are allowed to stay animalistic and craving without repercussion (in fact it's encouraged, as long as you have money).

Sad. Her face shows that she wants to do great things with her life, but she's been turned into nothing more than a strip tease.

@Anon1
I forgot that every single person thinks and acts the same way. Thank you for reminding me that all men think of all women as sex objects and that men are simply beasts who can't control their animalistic urges. Making blanket statements helps no one and is simply not true. In fact, your bleak views on men is just disturbing to me.

While sociology can be helpful in some ways, in my view, a lot of it is simply a load of bull. You should take a look around with your own eyes instead of just blindly accepting what you read and hear in sociology classes. You will see that not all men (not even anywhere close to all men) view women or act in the way that you describe. Most men don't.

I could say more, but I really don't feel like writing a book and this isn't really the place for a debate anyways.
