Hah. Well, that's something I hadn't seen or thought of before. For good reason, but still amusing/interesting to see.

Browning M2/equivalent x bullpup conversion. Lols.

While carrying it on person is silly, I think vehicles could actually benefit from a bulppup version, as it would be smaller and easier to store inside say a troop transporting helicopter and be less weight for tanks, APCs, jeeps and aircraft which you need to reduce weight as much as possible. True Velocity makes polymer bullet cases which reduce weight even further and show they can make them for a variety of ammo types including the .50 BMG cartridge as well as reduce heat since polymer is a poor conductor for heat.

Just need a basket to catch the empty casings which inside/on a vehicle shouldn't be a problem. Yes, the True Velocity casings are recyclable, magnetic too so it's easier to clean up loose ones you lost.

wouldnt work like that, LivingCorpse. overall the weight has most likely increased as it is a normal ma deuce but with the extension to the firing mechanism. in an afv, you wont want the smoke generated from firing to be inside the fighting compartment anyways. western nations havent had hmg caliber coaxs for a while now

Okay then on the outside of a tank. You'd get a longer barrel but overall a shorter more compact weapon since bullpups have the barrel set further inside.

Fun fact, someone (Delta P Designs) made a suppressor for the M2.

@Kdaak

Well holy shit, I found what is probably the closest to this we will ever get in real life. It's not a heavy machine gun but there was a prototype shoulder fire bullpup, burst fire anti-material rifle chambered in .50 BMG.

Also saw experimental Semi-Auto M2 Brownings that look like bullpup-ish, though not shoulder fired.
