it seems to me that this character is more suited to be shirou than saber. Shirou want to be a hero who's able to save everyone. As a fireman, he can reach his objective (as a doctor as well).

Anon1, IIRC, there actually is a doujin that starts out on the first page mentioning that Shirou went ahead and joined up with some sort of JASDF aerial firefighter unit.
