I've always felt sad for Nanako, just because she's only 6, but she does a lot of house hold chores because her Dad isn't home. When I imagine Nanako making eggs and toast it makes me sad, because she's just a small child, her Dad should be the one making it for her.

It does look like a pretty sad picture, but if you look closely you'll notice. There's two sets of plates, the other chair is pulled out and that binder must belong to someone else, either her dad or Souji.
