Flay had such a fucked up personality. She wanted to use Kira as some sort of twisted revenge for him failing to save her father, and to get him to kill other Coordinators during the war without hesitation.

In the end she realized she truly loved him, but it was too late for her.

I could never really get to like Flay either.... I mean.... Gah .. -.- that being said o.o very interesting and memorable "love interest" in my book.... totally fucked up but.... memorable.
